‘Lanterns’ First Look: Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler Are DC Universe’s John Stewart and Hal Jordan
variety.comJordan Moreau “Lanterns,” the upcoming Green Lantern TV show from DC Studios and HBO dropped its first look at Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler as the main heroes, John Stewart and Hal Jordan.
They may not be dressed up in their Green Lantern uniforms, but if you look closely you can see a green ring on Chandler’s finger.
Otherwise, the two leads are in their civilian clothes and walking down a deserted highway. Per the official logline, the series follows “new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.” “Lanterns” is co-written by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King.
All three serve as executive producers along with James Hawes, with Hawes also directing the first two episodes. A release date for “Lanterns” has yet to be announced.
