Lanarkshire thug has 'no memory' of spitting at police officer

A Motherwell man who spat on a police officer claims to have no memory of the disgusting incident.Jay Hogg, 20, of Muirhouse Avenue, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.He admitted threatening or abusive behaviour in Woodside Street, Motherwell, and in a police vehicle on October 31.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

A spithood was then put on Hogg to stop him doing it again.While being transported to Coatbridge police office, Hogg was verbally abusive towards officers.Defence agent Laura Kiernan told the court: "He has no memory of the incident but accepts the police officers' evidence."Sheriff Andrew McIntyre deferred sentence until August for background reports and allowed Hogg to remain on bail.
