Lanarkshire secondary school celebrates pupils' success at awards ceremony

St John Ogilvie High , in Hamilton, celebrated the success of over 250 young people at their senior school awards ceremony.Parents, carers, families and staff were all in attendance with pupils for the first time since 2019.

Head teacher Lorna Lawson was delighted to welcome people back to the school to celebrate the pupils' achievements and told Lanarkshire Live : "It was a wonderful evening full of joy and we were delighted to be joined by Mr Stewart Nicolson, Head of Education at South Lanarkshire Council, who was our guest speaker for the evening.

He inspired the young people with his words and praised the resilience that they had shown in recent years. The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
