Lanarkshire man admits money laundering after elderly woman lost over £230,000 in 'elaborate' banking scam

A man has admitted money laundering after an elderly woman lost savings amounting to at least £230,000 in an "elaborate" banking scam.Darren McClelland told police that fraudsters forced him to have the cash transferred to his accounts.Another bank customer lost £20,000 to the same criminals, a court heard on Friday.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
