A man has been rushed to hospital after being assaulted on a Scots street on Sunday afternoon. Emergency services rushed to the Foot of the Walk in Leith following reports of a man being attacked at around 2.10pm.
Following the incident, a 41-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. The area, near the Newkirkgate centre, has been cordoned off as officers from Police Scotland stand guard, Edinburgh Live reports.One emergency vehicle remains at the scene while eyewitnesses are interviewed.Police Scotland confirmed enquiries were currently ongoing.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.10pm on Sunday, 6 August, 2023, officers received a report of an assault on Newkirkgate, Edinburgh.“A 41-year-old man was taken to hospital.
