Neighbours on an Eccles street were horrified to see police tape going up outside their homes before seeing a man being rushed to hospital.
Police and paramedics descended on Higher Croft this afternoon (August 19). The Manchester Evening News understands it followed a man suffering serious injuries after being hit by a car.
Officers are investigating the circumstances around the incident. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a man being taken from Higher Croft into an ambulance on a stretcher before 2pm.
A resident told the M.E.N. that around an hour earlier, he saw the man being hit by a car with a 'group of youths' inside. "They pulled up on the pavement and trapped a guy’s leg.
