The 29th Annual Webby Awards were announced today by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, with winners to be announced on Tuesday, April 22 in New York.  “The Webby Awards have always been a barometer for digital progress, and this year’s Nominees reflect the deep connection between creativity and innovation,” said Jesse Feister, Executive Director, Webby Media Group. “From visionary creators to the technologists building the tools and platforms behind them, these are the people and companies redefining how we connect, express, and experience life online.

As AI continues to transform the Internet, many of this year’s Nominees are not only pushing its creative potential, they’re helping shape its development in thoughtful and responsible ways.” This year, The Webby Awards introduced a new suite of Creator categories to celebrate the booming creator economy and growing influence of creators who are shaping culture, entertainment and the Internet.

These categories highlight the pivotal role individual creators play in transforming our digital experiences and interactions.

Nominees include Kai Cenat, Jake Shane, Laufey, Caleb Simpson, Zach King, Remi Bader, Trixie Mattel, Drew Afualo, Mark Rober, Chris Klemens and Abi Marquez, among others. The Webby Awards also continues to see record growth in podcast submissions, making it one of the largest and highly competitive awards in the industry.
