Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Korea’s CJ ENM has given a second season commission to “Couple Palace,” its hit couple matching survival show.
The show stars fifty men and fifty women from various backgrounds who unveil their detailed social status to search for ideal partners based on elements such as ideal marriage values, physical appearance, economic status, and lifestyle.
It premiered on CJ ENM’s affiliate music channel Mnet in January 2024. It was developed by star producers Lee Sun-young and Jeong Min-seok, known for their distinctive global achievements of “I Can See Your Voice” and “Love Catcher.” “The sequel commission of ‘Couple Palace’ clearly demonstrates the fact that the show’s candid, yet profound portrayal of relationship dynamics associated with marriage has resonated with audiences from different circumstances and environments.

Annie Shapero, best known for her role in Israeli series “Red Skies,” which won best drama series at Series Mania in 2023, is confirmed to have joined the cast of premium Australian series “The Narrow Road to the Deep North.” Having made a start in live theater, Shapero also recently appeared in FX pilot, “The Border,” adapted from the third book in Don Winslow’s bestselling Cartel Trilogy.
