King Charles has chosen to shake things up this year by not filming his traditional Christmas message at a royal estate, marking a significant departure from tradition.The 76 year old monarch recorded his speech at the Fitzrovia Chapel, a former hospital chapel in Pearson Square, central London, nearly two weeks ago, as reported by the Telegraph.The choice of location seems to hold two very touching meanings, one reflecting his deeply rooted Christian beliefs and the other acknowledging the health challenges he and others have faced this year.

It's believed that this year, the King will choose to reflect on international, national and personal challenges and how they can be overcome by communities supporting each other.

The Princess of Wales chose a similar theme for her Christmas carol concert, which centred around themes of kindness, love, empathy and being there for each other during difficult times.The King recorded his first Christmas broadcast in 2022 and chose to stand in St George's Chapel in Windsor as he paid tribute to his late mother and late father.

Last year, the King kept in line with tradition and pre-recorded his broadcast from Buckingham Palace and spoke about the values of the Christmas story.
