A throwback video of King Charles attempting to breakdance has resurfaced on TikTok, with some videos amassing thousands of views, likes and astounded comments.
Back in 1985, the 37 year old, who was still Prince Charles at the time, visited Middleton-on-Sea, West Sussex, for a Youth Meets Industry course alongside 300 unemployed people. The event was funded and organised by the Prince’s Trust, which was launched by Charles in 1976 to help vulnerable young people get their lives on track. The video shows a group of young breakdances encouraging the young royal to take to the dancefloor.
While Charles was clearly no professional, he gave it a good go, and the crowd went wild for his robot arm dance moves On TikTok, one person joked, “The real King of Hip Hop”, while another said, “How kool our king is a breakdancer and we didn't even know it.” Another added: “Lock and pop your majesty.” Other people weren’t so convinced by the royal breakdancer, with one person adding: “Oh no!
Please stop him NOW. Love Prince Charles!” Earlier this week, it was revealed the Monarch intends to sell 12 of his mother’s racehorses that were left to him following her death on September 8.
