King Charles and Queen Camilla’s first joint public appearance since the coronation ceremony, the two visited Covent Garden on Wednesday to celebrate the 390th anniversary of St.
Paul’s Church, also known as the Actors’ Church, according to The Mirror.The pair met with local community members, as well as children from a nearby primary school, watching a puppet show on the church’s steps.
Once they made their way inside, the pair spoke with members of the Covent Garden Community Association, according to People, and Camilla also met with the church’s Drama for Healing group, which helps women who have experienced domestic abuse.After visiting the church, they went to The Apple Market in Covent Garden, which is an arts and crafts market.
On the way, they greeted tourists, including some from Singapore and Canada, The Mirror reported. At the fair, they stopped and talked to all of the stall owners and other local community members, according to People.The couple then met with members of The Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera and the orchestra of the Royal Opera House – some of whom had performed at their coronation concert on May 7.
