Kilmarnock after the Ayrshire club fielded a suspended player in their Premier Sports Cup match. Daniel Armstrong was a second-half substitute in the match last Saturday, replacing Chris Burke with 18 minutes to go before the Championship side finished 2-0 victors.
But Armstrong, signed last month from Raith Rovers, had a one-match ban in the competition from his time at the Kirkcaldy club.
Boss Tommy Wright's decision to send the player on late in the game would prove costly as his club were called up to an SPFL hearing on Thursday.
