One of the best-loved Irish shows of all time is set to return to our screens this weekend. Pat Shortt’s Killinaskully is making a welcome resurface to give us all a lift as reruns of the classic show is set to air.
For the uninitiated, the show poked fun of rural Ireland, bringing to life the characters from Shortt’s stage show – characters anyone who grew up in a small town or village would be familiar with.
Killinaskully brought together some of our favourite Fr Ted ex-pats including Shortt and Joe Rooney. The comedy was shot largely between two towns in Tipperary, Killoscully, and Ballinahinch which inspired the name.
