James Ireland, 41, savagely knifed Billy Moore in the face, throat, and chest in Warrington three days before Christmas last year.
He was today (Friday, July 21) unanimously convicted of murdering 31-year-old Mr Moore by a jury at Liverpool Crown Court after one hour and 53 minutes of deliberations reports the Liverpool Echo. Ireland, who stared directly ahead as he was found guilty and appeared to be taking deep breaths in the dock, will be sentenced on Thursday, August 10.
