Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kelvin Fletcher, 36, won the Glitterball trophy with Oti Mabuse, 30, after he stepped in as Jamie Laing’s replacement.The latter, who will now compete on this year’s series, fell injured during rehearsals ahead of the first live show last year.Speaking out about signing up for the show with little notice, the former Emmerdale said it “wasn’t the ideal scenario”.He revealed: “I love the show and I used to watch it with my wife and I thought I’ve never danced, but I feel like I’ve got rhythm.“Every time we go to a birthday or a wedding, I’m always up dancing, I felt like I had a bit of groove in me and I just thought I’d give it a go.”Kelvin went on to say he had wanted to take part in the show “for so long”.
