Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Keir Starmer has called on Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak to quit after it emerged they will be fined over partygate.The Labour leader demanded their resignations and claimed the Tories are “unfit to govern”.A spokeswoman for the Prime Minister this afternoon confirmed the Metropolitan Police would be issuing the fines over the lockdown parties in Downing Street.She said: "The Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer have today received notification that the Metropolitan police intend to issue them with fixed penalty notices."We have no further details, but we will update you again when we do."Starmer tweeted: “Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have broken the law and repeatedly lied to the British public.
