Two years after edging out Serrano in what became an instant classic encounter in New York, the pair reconvened on the undercard of Mike Tyson's bout with Jake Paul on Friday night - and it was a fight that lived up to expectations.
Serrano battled through a severe cut to make it to the final bell, although Taylor was penalised by having a point taken off for leading with her head.
The judges were unanimous in their decision, awarding Taylor the win by a point each, ensuring she remained the undisputed super-lightweight champion.
