Emiliana Betancourt The Writers Guild of America East is set to present Kathy McGee, an Emmy Award-winning writer and producer at WCBS-TV, with the Richard B.
Jablow Award for Devoted Service to 2025 WGA Awards. The 77th edition of the annual event will be held at New York’s Edison Ballroom on Feb.
15. McGee served as a WGAE council member from 2014 to 2019 until she became the vice president between 2019 and 2021. She was vice president of the broadcast/cable/streaming news sector from 2022 to 2024.
A member of the WGAE since 1997, McGee writes stories on theater and cultural arts for WCBS-TV’s 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
