Serial killer Richard, played by Brian Capron, appeared in the soap between 2001 and 2003 and made quite an impression. He first arrived in Weatherfield to funeral of Alma Baldwin.
Richard quickly befriended Gail Platt, and the pair began a romantic relationship before eventually tying the knot. However, there was another side to Richard, and his exploits on the Street included leaving his business partner Duggie Ferguson (John Bowe) to die after a fatal accident and murdering his ex-wife Patricia (Annabelle Apsion) with a shovel.
He also swindled his neighbours Jack and Vera Duckworth out of their life savings in an investment scam, and kidnapped Norris Cole.
