Kate Middleton toasted marshmallows while she chatted to Scouts as she was handed a new royal role. The Duchess of Cambridge joined Cub and Beaver Scouts in Northolt, west London, where she was appointed joint president of The Scout Association alongside Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent.The Queen is the patron of the organisation.Kate speaks regularly about her love for the outdoors and volunteered with the Scouts when she living in Anglesey, North Wales.She said: "For many children and young people, The Scout Association plays a key role as they build relationships and develop the skills they need to succeed in later life."When I volunteered with the Scouts on Anglesey eight years ago, I was struck by the huge impact the organisation has on.
