Kate Middleton's tribute to the late Queen with special earrings at Cenotaph event

All eyes were on Kate Middleton when she arrived at the Cenotaph for Remembrance Sunday yesterday with her husband Prince William.

Marking the first time the Princess of Wales has carried out official Royal engagements on consecutive days since last December, Kate opted for some rather sentimental jewellery.

Her choice of pearl earrings worn to the Cenotaph paid homage to Queen Elizabeth II as they belonged to the late monarch and were her gemstone of choice - pearls.

Alongside a black coat, headpiece and three poppies for Remembrance Day, Kate finished off the look with the Queen's Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings, which the Queen had previously loaned to her after being gifted them for her wedding in 1947.
