Prince William has been ranked ahead of his father King Charles as Britain's favourite royal family member, with an unlikely member of 'the Firm' coming in at second place.According to a new poll by YouGov, 74 per cent of people in the UK favour the Prince of Wales more than any of the other members of 'the Firm'.The survey was carried out to measure the country's perspective towards the monarch ahead of the first anniversary of the late Queen Elizabeth's passing.

But rather than it being the King or William's wife, Kate Middleton in second place, it actually turns out the public prefer Princess Anne, who is often regarded as the family's hardest working member. The poll shows that 63 per cent of Brits have a positive view of her, followed by Kate - who was previously behind William - on 62 per cent, the Mirror reports. The previous YouGov survey had the princess' popularity at 65 percent, this time last year it was 68 percent.King Charles claims fourth spot with 60 per cent followed by Prince Andrew on 54 per cent.Queen Camilla has a much more mixed rating and is only liked by around 47 per cent of the public while Harry is on 31 per cent.YouGov noted that the Duke of Sussex previously had similar ratings to his older brother before he left the royal family.Meghan Markle is second bottom on 24 per cent, while rooted at the bottom is Prince Andrew who is viewed in a positive light by just six per cent of the public.
