It was an emotional night at the Royal Albert Hall as members of the Royal Family came together to attend the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance.
With heart-wrenching tributes to the servicemen and women who have lost their lives, as well as emotional performances from the likes of Sir Tom Jones, Samantha Barks and Alexandra Burke, it was a fitting start to the Remembrance weekend.
King Charles arrived without Queen Camilla by his side, as she is continuing to recover from a chest infection, and was joined by the rest of his family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales.The evening understandably brought an incredible level of emotion with it as those in the concert hall heard heart-breaking stories of loss and untold bravery.
From the royal box, the group watched attentively as current serving personnel paid tribute to those who lost their lives in Afghanistan and, towards the end of the evening, joined in the singing of a hymn.
