evoke.ieGood Morning Britain, the presenter shared that when Derek was at his worst battling the infection, Kate offered to donate her own blood plasma.This was due to the fact that she had recovered from COVID-19 while her husband has been in intensive care since March.While Derek is now free of the virus and came out of a coma last month, Kate told her GMB co-star Ben Shephard that when he was critical she felt her antibodies could have been able help to him and she wanted to assist in any way she could.‘Something I saw which intrigued me was this call out from the government for people to come forward to donate blood, so they can make use of blood plasma.
