The Good Morning Britain presenter went through what she called a "calamitous" Christmas as her husband, and father of her two children Darcey and Billy, remains in hospital.
Derek has been battling Covid-19 in hospital since March, with the virus tragically wreaking havoc on his body. Kate, 53, has been praised for her bravery in the way she's cared for her children and carried out her work duties while raising awareness of the seriousness of the disease her beloved husband is battling.
