Kate Garraway is reportedly staying vigil by husband Darek Draper's side after he was hospitalised earlier this week following a heart attack.It is said the reporter has cancelled upcoming TV and radio appearances - including taking a temporary leave from ITV's Good Morning Britain - to support her partner's latest health battle, the Mirror reports.Back in 2020, Draper contracted Covid-19, which left him critically ill and hospitalised for over a year.
Kate has since used her platform to raise awareness of those who continue to suffer after being hit with the virus.Now, a source has said that the former lobbyist's loved ones are "praying for a miracle" after he reportedly took ill on Monday and continues to worsen.
They added: "Derek suffered a massive heart attack earlier this week which has left him fighting for his life all over again."The source went on to tell The Sun: "It was sudden and a shock as he had been doing so well and was in great spirits, looking forward to Christmas at home with the family.
This setback has been a huge blow for his family and all the people caring for him."They continued to share that Kate is "by his side 24 hours a day" and is willing her husband to make it through his latest battle and once again beat the odds to "come out on the other side".
