Kate Garraway breaks silence in emotional first interview since Derek Draper's death

Kate Garraway has broken her silence after saying an emotional final goodbye to husband Derek Draper at his funeral. Derek, who was a political advisor, died on 3 January, aged 56, after suffering a heart attack, brought on from the devastating effects of long covid, which he battled for four years.

Kate, 56, returned to our screens on Monday, 5 February, where she bravely spoke to Good Morning Britain's hosts, Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley, live from her home.

Fighting back tears, Kate showed off a Book of Condolences, which she revealed was organised by Susanna Reid She said: "My emotions are at 110 percent.The unbelievable love that we all have as a GMB family and ITV family - you're going to make me cry already.
