Kate Garraway has taken to social media to beg for help after a string of her home appliances stopped working. The Good Morning Britain host felt she was left with no choice but to public issue a cry for support after a planned engineer visit failed to take place.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday morning after wrapping up hosting the ITV show with Ben Shephard, Kate, 53 wrote: "Help @BritishGas! - my fridge & freezer and washing machine have all stopped working - someone was coming yesterday under your home care plan but never showed up - am panicking about keeping kids an I going if we are isolating without this."Within the company publicly replied: "Hi Kate, sorry to hear the engineer didn't get to you yesterday.
