Prince William and Kate Middleton shared an “intense” bonding moment while on a royal engagement, a body language expert has said.

The Prince and Princess of Wales visited the Hayes Muslim Centre in West London this week to thank those involved in the aid effort supporting survivors of the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Kate, 41, was seen smiling outside with her husband William, 40, as she wrapped up in a grey long coat with heels and a detailed white headscarf. The royal couple seemed relaxed during the engagement, with one photograph showing the pair looking each other in the eye - Kate grinning broadly and William with a more suppressed and subtle smile.

Body language expert Judi James said this was a powerful moment that showed the couple’s close bond. She told Express.co.uk: “This is such an intense and very telling sign from the couple who not only meet eyes but turn it into a sustained and meaningful gaze that is possibly more of a PDA than a hug or hand hold. “It’s the reaction that counts here.
