Despite anonymity being something largely out of reach for her, she has kept an enviable grip on her privacy when it comes to her relationship with her husband, Joshua, and the life of her young son, Levi.
But today she wants to talk —hers in particular—and why her experiences postpartum have started a new chapter in her life: joining the fight to pass the United States’ first-ever national paid family leave policy. “Postpartum, my body, my physical health, and my mental health were extremely vulnerable,” she tells Glamour.“[Childbirth] is such a universal experience,” she continues. “This is how we all come into the world.
