Things got heated up between Joy Behar and Meghan McCain on Monday morning’s “The View”.

The View co-hosts came back from a week-long break with guns blazing during a day of Hot Topics. What started as a spirited discussion about Education Secretary Betsy DeVos‘ insistence that schools should reopen amid the COVID-19 pandemic, turned into a shouting match between Meghan McCain and Joy Behar that Whoopi Goldberg had to break up not once, but twice. Even cutting to commercial didn’t slow them down.

The ladies of “The View” are about to be dramatized.

Whoopi Goldberg is unfazed by the criticism she has received for re-wearing the same jacket while hosting The View.

Joy Behar came out with guns blazing on The View after finding out that Vice President Mike Pence visited COVID-19 patients at the Mayo Clinic without wearing a face mask. The longtime host, 77, suggested on the April 29 episode of the talk show that Pence, 60, won’t do anything that could anger President Donald Trump, and potentially cost him his spot on the 2020 Republican ticket. “Mike Pence had a choice: Should I be disrespectful to the doctors [at the Mayo Clinic] or should I be disrespectful to the president? And he knows Nikki Haley could be the next vice president…” Behar said, referring to the former United States ambassador to the UN.

Meghan McCain isn't holding back when it comes to her opinion on former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck's controversial comments on the coronavirus.

Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is one of the names on everyone’s lips after presumed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden announced that he wanted a female running mate. Abrams, 46, who served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2007 to 2017, said on the April 22 episode of The View that she would gladly accept the position, should Biden ask.

Candace Cameron started her acting career when she was just a child but her hardest on-camera job, she says, happened later in life. All good things come to an end! Joy Behar, 77, revealed her surprising plans to leave The View in the latest version of tell-all book Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of ‘The View’ by Variety editor Ramin Setoodeh. “I have a three-year contract…but that doesn’t mean I can’t leave if I want to, because they can’t really do anything to me at this point,” she said in an excerpt published by our sister publication Variety on April 8. “I don’t see myself staying for more [time],” she confirmed.

Joy Behar isn't going anywhere. The 77-year-old comedian's rep tells ET that, despite a report that she's looking to retire from after 21 seasons, she has no plans of leaving the ABC daytime talk show.

After taking Tuesday off, Whoopi Goldberg is back on “The View”, but with a twist.

Whoopi Goldberg chose to sit out from The View today in order to check-in with her doctor.

After a life-threatening battle with pneumonia in 2019, Whoopi Goldberg made the decision to visit her doctor and see if continuing to host The View amid the global coronavirus pandemic will endanger her health. Whoopi, 64, was absent from the March 17 episode of The View, and co-host Sunny Hostin explained at the top of the show what was going on. “Just to be extra careful, Whoopi is consulting with her doctor today. She wants everyone to know she feels fine, and plans on being back here tomorrow,” Sunny said. Whoopi’s departure comes just five days after Joy Behar, 70, announced that she would be stepping back from the The View for at least a week amid the pandemic, citing the heightened risk to elderly people.

As coronavirus fears continue to mount, The View's Joy Behar is taking precaution. The longtime co-host of ABC's morning program revealed during a pre-taped episode that she is taking time off due to her age.
