Josh Doig won’t be rushed into making a decision on his future as Torino step up their bid to nab the left-back from under Rangers’ noses. The former Hibs kid has emerged as a potential Gers recruit this month as new Ibrox gaffer Philippe Clement prepares to reshape his squad.

The former Besiktas full-back still appears to be inching towards the exit, with reports in Italy claiming a £3million deal has been agreed between Gers and the Serie A side. But Verona’s domestic rivals Torino are set to throw a spanner in Rangers’ works by making a swoop of their own for Doig. Record Sport understands that Turin boss Ivan Juric is pushing hard to complete a £3.5million deal that would also offer up a lucrative sell-on fee plus Lithuanian youngster Gvidas Gineitis.Doig, however, will take his time before deciding his next move - or even whether to make one at all.
