Currently on loan in Cyprus at APOEL Nicosia, where he is a teammate of former Gers flop Dalcio, from Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense, with whom the Light Blues have struck a deal.
However, he now needs permission from APOEL to leave their training camp and jet to Glasgow. He would offer a long term solution in the left back area for Clement.
Borna Barisic has been first choice for the past six years since joining from Osijek. However, the Croat is out of contract in the summer and expected to move on.
