A left-back has been high on Philippe Clement's January wishlist throughout the month and he looks set to finally land his man with Fluminise prospect Jefte set to cut short a loan deal at APOEL to seal a move to the Scottish Premiership.
Clement has stated that either Yilmaz or Borna Barisic would only be allowed to leave Ibrox if a suitable replacement was found with the club still battling for the league title, Scottish Cup and in the Europa League.
And Yilmaz looks set to be granted his exit after struggling to find top form in Scotland following his £5million move from Besiktas back in 2022.
Sabah report that "significant progress" has been made in the last 24 hours over a loan move without an option to purchase at the end of the campaign.
