Joe Otterson TV Reporter A limited series about the murder of JonBenét Ramsey is currently in development at MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, Variety has learned.

The official logline for the project states that it “details the mysterious death and the surrounding media frenzy in the murder of JonBenét Ramsey, a case that captivated an entire nation and left us with more questions than answers.” Richard LaGravenese is attached to serve as executive producer and showrunner on the project.

Harrison Query and Tommy Wallach sold the project to MTVES and 101 and are also executive producers. LaGravenese has mostly worked in film during his career.

He has worked on the screenplays for films such as “Unbroken,” “Water for Elephants,” “Freedom Writers,” and “The Horse Whisperer.” He also directed “Freedom Writers,” as well as films like “PS I Love You” and “Beautiful Creatures,” with LaGravenese also having written the latter two as well.
