‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ Renewed for Season 2 at Apple TV+ Despite Originally Being a Limited Series
variety.comSelome Hailu Though it was originally billed as a limited series, “The Last Thing He Told Me” is returning for a second season at Apple TV+.
Season 1, which premiered in April 2023, was based on Laura Dave’s novel of the same name. Dave has newly set a sequel novel for publication in 2025, which will serve as the basis for Season 2. “The Last Thing He Told Me” stars Jennifer Garner as Hannah Hall, a woman who must forge a relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) in order to find the truth about why her husband Owen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) has mysteriously disappeared.
Garner, Rice and Coster-Waldau will all reprise their roles in Season 2, as will David Morse, who plays Owen’s father-in-law and Bailey’s grandfather.
20th Television produces the series with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine. Dave created the series alongside showrunner Josh Singer, who is her husband.
