Joint campaign will see litter clean-up campaign tackle Lanarkshire roads

Roadside litter picks and deep cleans tackling flytipping and graffiti will be taking place across North and South Lanarkshire and neighbouring council areas for the next fortnight in a joint campaign with Keep Scotland Beautiful.The environmental charity is working with five local authorities plus road and rail operators to clean up communities and roadside mess – with the message that it “knows no boundaries” – and to encourage everyone to bin rubbish at home.Main routes between North and South Lanarkshire which are to be addressed during the project are the Garrion Bridge area of Cornsilloch Brae, Lanark Road and Horsley Brae, plus Fallside and Bellshill Roads.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
