A judge has ruled Johnny Depp's libel trial can go ahead next week as planned. The decision was made today at the High Court after it was previously ruled the star breached a court order by failing to disclose a number of text messages which allegedly showed him trying to obtain drugs.
The Hollywood actor, 57, is suing News Group Newspapers - the publishers of The Sun - over a story which appeared in the publication in 2018 branding him a "wife beater".
It related to allegations from Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard, 34, who claims the actor was violent towards her - which he denies.
