Manchester United have already started looking at possible options for Casemiro who could depart the club in the summer, and Joao Gomes has emerged as a potential replacement.
The 32-year-old has had a disappointing season so far, which has been hit by injuries along the way. Casemiro was sidelined for two-and-a-half months earlier in the season with a hamstring problem and has withdrawn from the Brazil squad with a muscular injury.
Despite still having two years left on his contract with an option for a further year, he could move on at the end of the season.
