Jim Goodwin has tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss Saturday's clash with Celtic. Saints announced on Friday their manager would be required to self-isolate and won't be in the dugout at Parkhead this weekend.Assistant coaches Lee Sharp and Jamie Langfield will lead the team in Glasgow and until the 39-year-old gaffer returns.

A St Mirren spokesperson said: "St Mirren Football Club can confirm that manager Jim Goodwin will miss this weekend’s match away to Celtic after testing positive for Covid-19. "Everyone at the club wishes Jim a full and speedy recovery."Lee Sharp and Jamie Langfield will take charge of first-team duties until the manager returns." Saints are still searching for their first Premiership victory of the season.
