Jet2 has issued a warning to passengers travelling to Manchester Airport in the coming weeks due to a significant M62 road closure.
A section of the trans-Pennine motorway will close for two full weekends this month. The eastbound carriageway between junction 18 and junction 20, and the westbound carriageway between junction 19 and junction 20 will be closed from Friday September from 9pm until 6am on Monday September 9.
It will also close again from Friday September 20 from 9pm until 6am on Monday September 23. The closures between Heywood and Rochdale is due to a bridge being replaced by Network Rail.
Castleton Bridge is being demolished and replaced with a new bridge. National Highways, which operates the M62, said they are working with Network Rail to ensure the work goes as smoothly as possible.
