She’s not that much different from what you’ve seen in those acceptance speeches as of late, with her hilarious, deadpan motivational quotes, but she’s also grounded and insightful in a way that says, “I’m here to entertain, but also want to keep it real.”When asked where she’s placed her new hardware—including the Emmy she won last September for her role in season 1 of —she says matter-of-factly, “At my house,” before launching into a story only Coolidge could make fascinating. “I have this painting of this actress,” she begins. “I don’t even know if she even exists, but this antique stock guy told me that it was a famous actress from 1930.
So I put [the awards] in the spot so it looks like she won them.” That delivery is what has won over audiences since the days of American Pie to Legally Blonde.
