As the desperate search continues, the family of Jay Slater have spoken of their fears over what caused the 19-year-old to go missing - raising concerns he may have been 'afraid of someone or something'.
The teenager's father, Warren, and his brother Zak were among a group of 10 volunteers who carried out a new, rigorous search over the mountainous landscape in Tenerife where the 19-year-old vanished.
The team endured several hours amid searing 25C temperatures as they probed the valley close to Masca village today (July 6).
Joining them in the search for the missing teenager, who has now been unaccounted for nearly three weeks, was his uncle Glen Duncan.
