Jay Leno suffered a series of injuries after falling down a hill in Los Angeles over the weekend. The former Tonight Show host has been seen wearing an eye patch following the incident which left him with a black eye, bruised face and bandaged wrist.According to Leno, he fell after walking down a hill to a restaurant near his hotel.“To get to it, I didn’t have a car, so you had to walk about a mile and a half around.
I said, ‘Well, the hill doesn’t look that steep. It’s about 60 or 70 feet. Let me see if I can go down the hill,” he told TMZ before adding: “I fell down.
Boom, boom, boom. I rolled down the hill, hit my head on a rock, knocked me in the eye.”The 74-year-old comedian went on to say that he still managed to perform his show later that day at the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California, and sought medical attention once he got back to Los Angeles.“It’s not that big of a deal.
It’s alright, it’s alright. The great thing about this age [is] you don’t learn by your mistakes, you just keep doing the same stupid thing,” Leno joked, referring to his previous injuries in 2022.At the time he suffered third-degree burns in a garage fire.
