Janey Godley has revealed she is delighted to be going back out on tour after a 'tough time'. The Scots comedian took to Twitter to say that she would be back on the stage with her 'Not Dead Yet' show next year after she had to take a break from performing after she was diagnosed with cancer.

Janey was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and has been battling the disease and updating her fans throughout as she went through operations and treatment.

Following gruelling chemotherapy sessions, back in June the funny woman announced that her latest scan came back clear. The 61-year-old is a stand up comedian, however during the coronavirus pandemic she became well known for her funny clips and voice overs impersonating the likes of Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, despite her huge online presence, she said she's excited to get back on the stage.Speaking to the camera with a huge smile on her face, Janey said: "Hi there, it is getting late and I'm sitting here thinking about my life and what is going on then I realise that on the 7th of February next year, I am going to Galashiels to do a gig and I canny believe that I'm getting to go back on tour again.

And it's been such a tough time but so much positivity and support from everybody out there."And many were delighted that she was returning to the stage and flocked to the comments.
