Jamie Carragher has laid into Tottenham for their lack of "courage" in the Carabao Cup final and compared them to a team "fighting relegation".
Spurs were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Manchester City via a late Aymeric Laporte header in a game where the scoreline perhaps flattered the London club, who were overrun throughout.
The defeat prolongs their painful wait for a major trophy, which now stretches to more than 13 years, but Carragher refused to get on board with the 'Spursy' tag attached to the team by their supporters, insisting he has seen some "outstanding" football from the club in that time.
However, he felt they were more than deserving of being deemed "soft" and "weak" - a criticism levied at them previously - after "bottling"
