However, the Belgian failed to make an impact after coming on as a substitute and it was Christian Pulisic - who replaced Hazard in the Blues squad in 2019 - who made the headlines as he opened the scoring in a 1-1 draw.
There has been a great deal of excitement around the potential of the American - aged just 22 despite amassing almost 200 senior appearances across spells with Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea - but pundit Jamie Carragher is doubtful he can hit the heights that Hazard once did.
