Hundreds of fans gained access to Old Trafford during protests against the Glazers, causing United's game against Liverpool to be delayed.

Pictures showed the protesters talking with Carragher and Neville, who were on duty with Sky Sports at the time. Liverpool legend Carragher defended the protests, arguing that they were good-natured and reminiscent of his own fans' demonstrations when trying to force Tom Hicks and George Gillett to sell the Anfield club over a decade ago.
