Jameela Jamil has spoken out to mark World Suicide Prevention Day, saying that for her, surviving suicide has been a ‘gift.’The 34-year-old attempted to take her own life in 2013, and yesterday shared how glad she was that she survived.
Speaking out on Instagram, The Good Place star said: ‘Surviving suicide has been the most extraordinary gift to me in being able to still be here and remind people I love that sometimes it’s just a particularly overwhelming hour, day, week or month.‘And that it can and normally will pass, and that with even small incremental changes and reaching to even one person for help, life really can get better.
