ITV under fire for having no women presenters on any of its gameshows or quizzes

ITV has come under fire after it emerged the broadcaster has no female hosts fronting a single one of its gameshows. The channel has 20 episodes of gameshows or quizzes running from this Saturday to next Friday – all of them presented by men.

These include The Chase’s Bradley Walsh, Tipping Point’s Ben Shephard, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’s Jeremy Clarkson, Lingo’s Adil Ray, Catchphrase’s Stephen Mulhern and Paul Sinha’s TV Showdown.

Michael Kelpie, managing director of Potato which makes The Chase, was quizzed about the lack of women hosting gameshows on British TV in a BAFTA talk earlier this week.

Presenter Charlene White had raised the issue asking him: “Women do like gameshows too and there’s not many women.” To which Mr Kelpie
